Created as Kinder HSPVA’s 2023 All-School Black History Production, The Wiz brought together more than 100 student artists across performance, orchestra, design, and technical disciplines. Working collaboratively with HSPVA’s students and creative team, I led the development of an Afrofuturist theatrical world centered on Black artistry, joy, and cultural identity. The production received a Congressional Certificate of Recognition and enthusiastic praise from Theatre Under the Stars’ Tommy Tune Awards for its cohesive vision, dynamic storytelling, and emotional impact.
