Nebraska Wesleyan University

During my one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre and Directing at Nebraska Wesleyan University, I had the privilege of guiding this talented senior class through their final year of training. In the fall, we began with Professional Preparation for Theatre, a course designed to equip students with the tools to navigate the business side of the acting and musical theatre industry. Together, we worked on identifying their type, selecting audition material, refining their professional packages, and making strategic choices about wardrobe, branding, and presentation.
Each student’s headshot—featured as the thumbnail image below—reflects thoughtful, intentional work on how they market themselves visually and professionally. I also designed the showcase thumbnails and production branding to help create a cohesive, industry-facing package that reflected each performer’s individuality.
In the spring, we transitioned into a dedicated Senior Showcase course, where we continued polishing performance material. These pieces were taken to New York City over spring break and workshopped with a range of industry professionals, including casting directors, agents, choreographers, and directors.
This Digital Showcase is the culmination of that process—a full year of development, discovery, and preparation for the professional world. Each video below represents a unique voice stepping into the industry, and I’m honored to have played a role in shaping this final chapter.
